Best Countries for Extroverts Who Love to Travel

Today, we are sharing our favourite that we think that these “extroverted countries” are vibrant, full of life, and anything but boring. Basically, these destinations are perfect for travellers who enjoy being around people; one of the reasons why these extrovert travellers love to travel: challenging themselves with new places, people, and experiences.


Of course, we are not drawing conclusions, or even saying that other places are dull and not worth your time. Instead, think of this as a list of countries that extroverts will surely have a great time exploring!


1. Hong Kong

A trip to Hong Kong is the ultimate extrovert city break. They are never far from a beach; either the city beaches like Repulse Bay and Shek O, ever-growing entertainment and arts scene, as well as a food culture that will keep any extrovert traveller coming back for more.


Must do for extroverts:

  • Enjoy the nightlife in Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo

  • Explore the city via double-decker trams, or “ding ding” as nicknamed by locals

  • Admire the skyline at the Victoria Harbour waterfront

  • Go shopping in Causeway Bay, Central, and Temple Street Night Market


2. Taiwan

Taiwan is one of those countries for extroverts who would like more options than just partying and taking in the city life. Just a short day trip away are mountains, hot springs, and other fascinating landscapes that are best enjoyed in the company of your travel buddies! Taiwan offer you with the limitless options for shopping, food, and tourist attractions that are worth the hype.


Must do for extroverts:

  • Experience the local youth culture in Ximending

  • Head up Elephant Mountain and the top floor of Taipei 101 for panoramic views

  • Check out night markets like Raohe Street Night Market and Ningxia Market

  • Soak up the sights in Yehliu Geopark, Tianliao Moon World, and Yangmingshan National Park


3. Thailand

Friendly and food-obsessed, hedonistic and historic, cultured and curious, Thailand tempts extroverts with a smile as golden as the country's glittering temples and tropical beaches. The fact that it’s also one of the friendliest countries in Asia is more than enough to make any foreigner feel right at home.


Must do for extroverts:

  • Visit just in time for the water-splashing Songkran Festival (when it resumes hopefully by 2022)

  • Sign up for a Thai cooking class and meet new people

  • Shop til you drop at Siam Paragon, Chatuchak Market and Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

  • Swim during the day, then party the night away in Phuket, Koh Samui, and Pattaya


4. Vietnam

A land of staggering natural beauty and cultural complexities, of dynamic mega cities and hill-tribe villages, Vietnam is both exotic and compelling. Whether it’s the city or the countryside, there’s never a shortage of interesting activities.


Must do for extroverts:

  • Try out the best cafes in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City during the day, then grab a beer at night

  • Stay in a local village home in Sa Pa and enjoy the alpine-like weather

  • Immerse in history at the Cu Chi Tunnels, Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, and Hoi An Ancient Town

  • Hunt for amazingly affordable souvenirs in Ben Thanh Market and Hanoi Old Quarter


4. Singapore

There’s no other place like Singapore. this vibrant city-state boasts a beautiful blend of Malaysian, Indian, Chinese, Arab and English cultures – all with its own Singaporean twist. Th “Lion City,” as it's referred to, is filled with delightful culinary experiences, state-of-the-art accommodations and exciting nightlife.


Must do for extroverts:

  • Visit the many hawker centres (and even chat up the uncles and aunties there!)

  • Grab cocktails at some of the award-winning bars

  • Get lost in the shopping mazes of Bugis Street, Orchard Road, and Marina Bay Sands

  • Try out the water sports and other adrenaline-pumped activities on Sentosa Island


5. Australia

In every corner of Australia you’ll find unique experiences and landscapes bursting with colour, culture and natural beauty. It’s known as a major backpacking, camping, road trip, and diving destination, it’s a good thing that this country has a lot of things to keep you energized, there is something to draw you here.


Must do for extroverts:

  • Surf and swim in Bondi Beach

  • Try out water sports like parasailing, aqua jetpack flying, and white water rafting

  • Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Sydney Harbour

  • Visit hole-in-the-wall bars and coffee shops in Melbourne

  • Drive along the Great Ocean Road


6. Spain

Everyone here is just enjoying life. Spain is a beautiful, interesting, and dynamic country with a lot of regional uniqueness and variety. The Spaniards love visitors, hosting strangers, drinking good wine, laughing at a good meal, and enjoying life. Definitely fit the bill for extroverts! And to top it all off, the country offers a digital nomad visa, should you decide to prolong your vacay!

  • Explore the bustling plazas in Madrid and its nearby towns

  • Go on a bike or walking tour along Las Ramblas

  • Socialise and take in the local culture at cocktail bars and flamenco clubs

  • Attend festivals like the Festa Major de Gràcia, Feria de Abril, and Haro Wine Festival

  • Enjoy the coastal scenery and beach parties in Ibiza


7. United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates (or UAE) has quickly begun to top many bucket lists. While many people may have only heard of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the five other Emirates are worth visiting if you get the chance, each with its own character and allure. The cities are a combination of modern and traditional and desert and sea. The Emirate people are extremely hospitable and welcoming. You are likely to experience people you’ve never met greeting you like an old friend.


Must do for extroverts:

  • Marvel at futuristic structures like the Burj Khalifa and the Louvre Abu Dhabi

  • Join an overnight desert safari and camping tour

  • Take a dinner cruise aboard a dhow (traditional Arab sailing vessel)

  • Soak up the nightlife in downtown Dubai


8. Brazil

As with most destinations in South America, Brazil is certainly a must-add to this list of extroverted countries. Many would say that its main appeal lies in the overall exuberant, welcoming lifestyle — especially in Rio de Janeiro. It’s considered as one of the best party cities in the world, after all! There’s also São Paulo for those who enjoy a bustling metropolis with a lot of culture.


Must do for extroverts:

  • Visit in time for the Rio Carnival (when it resumes hopefully by 2022)

  • Enjoy the downtown nightlife and samba scene in Lapa

  • Beach all day, then party all night in Ipanema and Copacabana

  • Go on a sightseeing tour all throughout Avenida Paulista


9. Argentina

Beautiful, defiant and intense, Argentina seduces with its streetside tango, wafting grills, fútbol (soccer), gaucho culture and the mighty Andes. It's one formidable cocktail of wanderlust. Argentina offers a perfectly poised balance between wilderness and sophistication. Its capital, Buenos Aires, is often compared to the likes of New York for being a “city that never sleeps.” In fact, most parties there don’t start until past midnight. Take your time exploring this wonderful country.


Must do for extroverts:

  • Wander through colourful neighbourhoods like La Boca, Palermo, and Güemes

  • Visit street markets such as San Telmo and Paseo de Las Artes

  • Watch a live tango show (and take lessons, too)

  • Catch the National Beer Festival, the country’s own version of Oktoberfest



We’re sure many extroverts would agree that one of the things we miss most about travelling pre-pandemic is meeting new people. We just miss those days when we could fully immerse in the local culture without worrying for your life? I know you do too.
